One of the great perks to being an outdoor photographer is it gives me an excuse to get out on the lake often. I always try to participate in what I'm photographing and it so happens that fishing is one of my favorite hobbies. I often find myself considering while fishing if I could live out of a fish house every winter. One (perhaps my girlfriend im referring to) may already debate that I spend too much time on the many lakes/rivers of Minnesota but any outdoorsman will support me that's not possible.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The picture below was taken at Prairie Restorations Inc. I captured this owl eating a mouse not long after purchasing my first DSLR camera. I was amazed with how the aperature setting was able to blur the background so effectively being that I was a new DSLR user. I shot this with my Nikon D3100 using the Nikor 55-300 mm lens.

 

Duck hunting... I CAN'T WAIT!! I've been extremely privelaged to go along hunting with professionals. A good friend of mine Evan Kornell who owns Dead Zone Duck Hunting, takes me along frequently during his guided hunts. They shoot birds while I shoot photographs and video.
